About RJB Architect

RJB Architect is a small architectural practice dedicated to providing a personal and friendly service throughout Essex.

My aim is to make your ideas of a new house, extension or conversion into reality, by providing an architectural service that simplifies the design, planning, building regulation stages into one smooth process.
Some people find it difficult to visualise a proposed building and its internal spaces with just 2d plans and elevations. I am a strong believer in demystifying this process by producing a 3d model allowing you to fully appreciate the scale and design of your ideas.

My main area of expertise is realising proposed projects by creating exciting architectural visuals. Developing projects from 2d drawings into 3d visuals really gives the viewer a feel and appreciation of the finished design. Architectural visuals have proved to be a great help to increase the chance of success for difficult planning applications. Alternatively a seductive architectural image may be required as a marketing tool for an advertisement or competition.

No project is too big or small.

Richard Bailey BA(Hons), BArch, PG.Dip

I studied architecture at the Leicester School of Architecture, graduating with a First Class Honours. Throughout the duration of my course I worked at EHW Architects in Hitchin, gaining valuable practice experience mainly on domestic projects.


Foster & Partners, London

Graduating from university I went on to work for world renowned architectural practice, Foster & Partners in London. I was involved in the spatial planning and visualisation design work for the new Kuwait Airport. Using my unique presentation skills I produced many architectural visuals for the monthly design reviews for Norman Foster and the Kuwaiti clients.


EHW Architects, Hitchin

At EHW Architects, I was involved on a broad range of projects from residential, retail to educational. The majority of the work involves taking the project from inception to completion, providing a committed service to the client throughout. I was also responsible for developing many architectural visuals for clients and contractors to aid planning applications, competitive tenders and advertisements.


ATP Architects + Surveyors, London

At ATP Architects, I was involved on a mixture of projects from a late Victorian town hall conversion through to a new contemporary mixed use development.
